Niche Norwegian SaaS company attracts top leadership talent

A company to watch in niche SaaS has hired a top leader from tech giant EcoOnline as CEO.

Andreas Nordsjö has taken on the leadership of Onix, a software company with a large customer base and strong ARR of NOK 70 million in 2025.

Chul Christian Aamodt, expert in industry media, SaaS scaleups and a key player at BI Startup at BI Norwegian Business School, also joins the team as Chief Revenue Officer in a double signing that indicates the company’s growth intent.

Taking niche software outside of Norwegian borders

The specialists in digital tools for equipment compliance management boast some of Norway’s largest companies in energy, maritime and construction amongst its 600+ strong customer base. Now the focus is on growth at scale, both domestically and internationally, to fill a need for equipment documentation and control that will only increase with digital requirements from bodies such as the European Union.

A new chapter for a 30-year-old company

The hiring of a new CEO and CRO with joint expertise in software, media and strategic business development comes at a key time for Onix. In 2025, the company reached major milestones including its 30-year anniversary, the establishment of a new HQ in Stavanger, recognition as a DN Gaselle for the second year in a row and surpassing 10 million items of work equipment managed in its software.

The strengthening of its leadership team marks a new period of growth that sees the Norwegian based company move from its founder to global expansion stage. Since 2023, Norwegian software investors Viking Growth have been building the foundations for Onix to replicate its success in Norway more widely.
